Hands-on role supporting development and production test of RF/microwave components and integrated microwave assemblies from DC to 40 GHz, including tuning, troubleshooting, and data reporting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).

  • 7+ years RF/microwave component testing experience (20 MHz–40 GHz).

  • Proficiency with RF measurements: return loss, insertion loss, gain, noise figure, intermodulation, harmonics.

  • Proficiency with RF test equipment: VNAs, signal/spectrum analyzers, power meters, DMMs, signal generators.

  • Ability to read and execute schematics, drawings, ATPs, and manufacturing procedures.

  • Experience with environmental testing (thermal, shock, vibration) and related debug.

  • Understanding of DC theory (Ohm’s Law) and electronic circuit fundamentals.

  • Manual dexterity for microscope work; occasional SMT solder/rework capability.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • U.S. Citizenship required (clearance eligibility).

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance preferred or ability to obtain.

Preferred Skills

  • Associate degree in Electronics or related field.

  • Experience in aerospace/defense electronics environments.

  • Filter theory and tuning (lumped element, cavity, waveguide).

  • Use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and bus analyzers for complex debug.

  • Test equipment setup, calibration checks, and fixture maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Tune, test, and troubleshoot RF/microwave components and IMAs (filters, mixers, switches, amplifiers) per ATPs.

  • Perform and document RF testing using VNAs, spectrum/signal analyzers, noise and power meters.

  • Execute environmental tests (thermal, shock, vibration); analyze results and isolate faults.

  • Set up, maintain, and verify production test stations, fixtures, and measurement systems.

  • Support prototype builds and first-article testing with engineering.

  • Record, organize, and communicate test results and production status in required systems.

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic measurement systems and related tooling.
