Summary: Seeking a Construction Manager with extensive experience in building projects for transportation infrastructure, particularly tollhouse/tollbooth and weigh station projects.

  • Requirements:

    • 15+ years of experience in managing building construction projects in the transportation or infrastructure sector.

    • VDOT experience and familiarity with tollhouse/tollbooth or weigh station projects.

    • Ability to be on-site at Norfolk VA - Virginia Beach.

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

    • Experience working on VDOT or similar state transportation projects.

    • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Construction Manager (CCM) certification.

    • Familiarity with Virginia Department of General Services' (DGS) Construction & Professional Services Manual (CPSM).

  • Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the main contact for construction activities, ensuring communication with VDOT representatives and stakeholders.

    • Ensure quality control through review of material testing and inspection reports.

    • Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively.

    • Develop construction schedules aligning with project timelines.

    • Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, design consultants, and VDOT representatives.

    • Manage contractor performance including submittals, work orders, sublet requests, and force accounts.

Pay: 145000-170000
