Mechanical Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in medical device design and manufacturing for engineering support and product transfer to production environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years experience with a medical device company
• Familiarization with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD systems
• Knowledge of PLM and material control systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with class 2 medical devices
• Co-op experience in the engineering field

Responsibilities:

• Support design and development of medical devices, including packaging lasers, scanners, and electronics
• Design detailing, bills of material for new products and changes to current products
• Focus on design for manufacturing
• Solve manufacturing issues, including material flow and product final testing processes
• Participate in gated medical design process, including risk analysis and design verifications
• Contribute documentation in line with medical SOPs for submissions and creation of DHFs

Pay Details: $89,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
