Summary: Seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead technical automotive engineering projects, focusing on product development and corporate initiatives.

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering required; Master of Science preferred

  • Six Sigma greenbelt certification preferred

  • 5-8 years of product/process engineering experience

  • Knowledge of magnet wire products and applications preferred

  • Understanding of process engineering techniques with modern equipment experience

  • Familiarity with project planning, management, and automotive product development practices (APQP)

  • Ability to problem solve using engineering principles

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical activities for automotive product development projects

  • Plan and organize project activities from Phase 0 to Phase 5

  • Translate customer requirements into specifications and testing activities

  • Lead DFMEAs and engineer risk mitigation activities for projects

  • Identify validation and verification activities needed for design needs

  • Lead internal design reviews following design control practices

  • Practice design for lean and six sigma methodology

  • Collaborate with laboratory resources for testing activities

  • Work with the automotive team to enhance skills

  • Assist in meeting project requirements



Pay Details: $90.00 to $95.00 per hour
