Summary: Seeking an R&D Engineer to design, maintain, and improve products and processes with a focus on magnet wire enameling fluid dynamics and copper/aluminum metallurgy for electric vehicle applications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, preferably metallurgy, mechanical or chemical disciplines
  • Three years of product/process engineering experience
  • Knowledge of magnet wire products and applications preferred
  • Expertise in fluid mechanics and metallurgy

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with production equipment and lab equipment
  • Familiarity with project planning and management, automotive product development practices (APQP)

Responsibilities:

  • Design, model, and test prototypes for product/process development or improvement
  • Conduct research and create design proposals for projects
  • Establish design briefs, concepts, performance criteria; select materials needed for production
  • Produce final design specifications; support concept sample production for demonstration
  • Utilize computational analysis for theoretical design conception, demonstration, verification


Pay Details: $90.00 to $95.00 per hour
