Summary: Seeking a Product Improvement Engineer with expertise in mechanical design to enhance automotive or machine products.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Product Support or Project Engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Proficiency with CAD (Creo preferred) and MS Office Suite

Preferred Skills:

  • 3-5 years of product or machine design experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with sheet metal design, mechanism design, machined metal parts, injection molded plastic parts, material selection, and system integration
  • Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) experience
  • Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Background in Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Corrective Action

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and execute product improvements on released products
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
  • Select parts and materials for reliable product function
  • Validate concepts through analysis and testing
  • Design parts and assemblies using appropriate materials
  • Support existing product lines by resolving design issues


Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
