Summary: Seeking a Mid Level Software Engineer with expertise in C/C++, Linux, and hardware communication for onsite development and maintenance of software applications.

  • 5-10 years of experience; relevant degree counts towards experience

  • Proficiency in C/C++

  • Strong debugging skills

  • Experience with Git for version control

  • Strong knowledge of Linux and CLI

  • Low level hardware communication (cameras, sensors, linear stages)

  • Knowledge of FPGA and GPU (CUDA)

  • U.S. citizen

  • Ability to obtain security clearance

Preferred Skills:

  • BSc or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering; associates degree considered with experience

  • Strong math skills

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Julia

  • Knowledge of high-speed control systems

  • Computer vision, image processing, DSP

  • Passion for astronomy and laser communications

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and maintain existing software applications

  • Contribute to maturation of new and existing software products through collaborative development

  • Discover and fix programming bugs

  • Produce required software modules according to schedule requirements

  • Write and contribute to reports including design documentation and operational specifications

  • Deal directly with customers through briefings, presentations, meetings, and conferences



Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
