Summary: Seeking a Life Safety Systems Engineer to provide code-compliant asset protection and fire life safety mitigation solutions for various projects.

  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with ability to attain PE licensure
    • At least 4 years of AutoCAD design experience
    • Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
    • Knowledge and application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials Code
    • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Preferred Skills:

    • Design experience with Fire Alarm, VESDA systems, security CCTV, HPM, and Leak Detection
    • Experience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large-scale projects
    • Experience leading projects and managing resources
    • Experience mentoring junior staff
    • Design experience in semiconductor or data centers
    • Working knowledge of Revit MEP for creating BIM models
  • Responsibilities:

    • Provide guidance to coworkers and collaborate with senior design professionals on project ownership as engineer of record
    • Interface directly with client counterparts in facility design and state/local code officials
    • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create coordinated BIM models for fire sprinkler systems, alarm systems, smoke/leak detection, security/intrusion detection systems
    • Provide calculations; equipment specifications; network diagrams; construction deliverables in both 2D/3D platforms for constructible designs


Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
