Controls Engineer (Early Career)
Summary: Seeking an early career Controls Engineer to program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, HMI, and MES systems in a coffee manufacturing facility.
Requirements:
- AS or BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (SLC500, PLC5, ControlLogix)
- Familiarity with Wonderware InTouch/InTrack
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SQL, MS Office
- Understanding of industrial controls and electrical systems (up to 480V)
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA-70E, and ISA standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
Preferred Skills:
- Food manufacturing industry experience
- Familiarity with VFDs, industrial networks (TCP/IP), and server security
Responsibilities:
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems including Allen-Bradley and Wonderware platforms
- Perform preventive maintenance and disaster recovery for plant control systems
- Support electrical troubleshooting; assist with mechanical or instrumentation issues
- Design/update HMI/MMI screens for equipment interfaces
- Maintain documentation for control system updates
- Perform audits/calibration of instrumentation
- Install/test/repair pneumatic/mechanical instruments as needed
- Maintain electrical systems/components across the plant
- Order necessary parts/components for repairs/installations
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
