Summary: Seeking a Toolmaker skilled in manual and CNC grinding operations for precision machining tasks.

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent Certificate
  • Setup and operate manual CNC Grinding machines
  • Experience with precision ID, OD, form grinding, multi-axis grinding, and flat surface grinding
  • Ability to perform plunge grinding, traverse grinding, form grinding
  • Experience with grinding soft and hard metals including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, hardened tool steel, tungsten
  • Experience with Diamond and various abrasive grinding wheels

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with dressing of abrasive wheel and recognition of wheel wear
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and layouts
  • Proficient in using measuring instruments (micrometers, indicator, bore gages)
  • Knowledge of shop math (Trigonometry, geometry)

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate manual and CNC grinding machines for precision ID, OD, form, and surface grinding
  • Study blueprint or layout to visualize the task and plan sequence of operations


Pay Details: $32.00 to $36.00 per hour
