Technical Service Engineer (Non-Woven)
Responsibilities:

Provide expertise in processing MAT/nonwoven materials including fibers, films, adhesives, metals, and fiberglass

Suggest and implement changes to manufacturing processes to improve control, cost, quality, and efficiency

Work with production to resolve processing issues and support continuous operations

Collaborate with quality control to review and address customer claims

Coordinate and conduct plant trials, collect and analyze data, and evaluate results of process modifications
-
Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis methods to drive improvements
-
Create reports, graphs, and visuals to communicate trends and quality issues
-
Support equipment purchasing decisions and provide technical recommendations
-
Provide technical service assistance and product/process recommendations
-
Ensure safe and healthy work environment for employees
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Nonwoven Engineering highly preferred, or BS in Engineering with nonwoven certification/training (NC State program recognized)

Minimum 5 years of manufacturing process engineering experience

Direct experience with nonwoven materials and processes, including:
-
Handling fiberglass materials and machine processing
-
Running nonwovens through rollers and needling machines
-
Experience with needling processes

Strong background in Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience with muffler linings, air filters, and other nonwoven product lines

Knowledge of process control and quality management in nonwoven manufacturing
-
Ability to recommend and implement process and product improvements
Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
