Mechanical Design Engineer
Summary: Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing stainless steel powder handling equipment for the pharmaceutical industry.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- 5+ years of product design experience
- 5+ years of experience with 3D CAD
Preferred Skills:
- Design experience within a GMP environment (pharmaceuticals, food)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and test new products with design team
- Research new technologies and compliance regulations
- Conduct design feasibility reviews
- Spec components and build bill of materials for machine assemblies
- Assemble design drawings and perform FEA analysis on structural assemblies
- Determine static and dynamic force requirements using theoretical calculation tools
- Conduct design review meetings and assemble detailed assembly drawings
- Draft project documentation packages (operator's manual, etc.)
- Support product-specific initiatives for improved functionality and cost reduction
Pay Details: $36.00 to $48.00 per hour
