Supplier Quality Engineer II
Summary: Seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer II with expertise in medical device engineering and quality systems management.
Requirements:
- BS degree in engineering
- 3+ years of experience in medical device engineering
- Experience in regulated industries such as automotive, aeronautical, or semiconductor
- Leadership experience on a materials or service commodity team
- Lead auditor of quality systems (ISO 13485 or similar)
Preferred Skills:
- ASQ certification (CQE, CBA, SSGB, SSBB)
- Ability to rapidly learn and use new software applications (e.g., PLM, ERP)
Responsibilities:
- Assess potential new suppliers for technical and manufacturing capabilities
- Provide technical support for new supplier component introduction
- Generate and maintain incoming inspection procedures; train inspectors
- Develop/source inspection tools and equipment
- Assist in generating component specifications
- Generate test protocols, monitor testing, issue reports, approve components for use
- Analyze incoming material defects; drive corrective action and communicate with suppliers
- Review design specifications from a component quality perspective
- Investigate field failures related to supplier materials; develop corrective action plans
Pay Details: $40.00 to $43.00 per hour
