Mechanical Engineer
Summary: Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 8 years of experience in the marine services industry to design, develop, and manage underwater systems and components.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of applicable working experience.
- Expertise in two, proficiency in two, and familiarity with at least three types of analyses including structural, ROVs/AUVs, naval architecture hydraulics, cranes/A-frames/winches, umbilicals, propulsion materials/corrosion rigging, and welding.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D solid modeling program.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks Simulation or similar FEA software.
- Proficiency in Quality Management Systems.
- Advanced technical writing skills.
Preferred Skills:
- MS degree in mechanical, structural, naval architecture, marine, or ocean engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop systems and components for underwater use and supporting equipment.
- Plan engineering and design work to meet customer requirements.
- Perform system engineering analysis guided by senior engineers; lead subsystem integration.
- Engineer, test, troubleshoot, and document prototype subsystems through lifecycle phases.
- Provide project technical leadership and management; interface with clients.
- Participate in marketing activities; draft project documentation packages.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
