Machinists
Seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate a variety of machine tools and fabricate precision parts to exact tolerances and specifications.
Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a machinist, machinist mate, mechanic, automotive repairman, engineman, or heavy equipment repairman

Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience

Ability to pass locating information and applied mathematics tests
Preferred Skills:
-
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications

Skilled in operating lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders

Experience modifying and running NC (numerically controlled) machine programs

Familiarity with shop mathematics and standard machining computations

Proficient with machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Job Responsibilities:
-
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce metal parts and mechanisms
-
Determine sequence of operations and proper method of setup
-
Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points for machining
-
Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment
-
Verify work quality using statistical process control or other quality assurance procedures
-
Identify required materials, tooling, and equipment for each job
-
Modify NC programs as needed for specific machining operations
Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
