Chief Quality Inspecter
Summary: Seeking a Chief Quality Inspector with expertise in mechanical parts inspection and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership abilities
- Experience inspecting mechanical parts in manufacturing
- Proficiency with quality inspection tools (hand tools, gages, optical tools)
- Understanding of blueprints, technical documents, and manuals
- Ability to interpret MIL-standards and industry standards
- Capability to generate inspection reports based on AS9102 standards
- Physical ability to stand/sit for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials to engineering prints
- Document discrepancies and obtain correct documentation if needed
- Accept or reject lots based on inspection outcomes
- Verify supplier inputs and outputs before customer delivery
- Inspect at-risk components for potential issues
- Review documentation for conformity to customer requirements
- Act as Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR)
- Present First Article Inspections to Customer QAR
- Authority to halt processes that could result in nonconformance
Pay Details: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour
