Sr. Machinist - 2nd Shift
Summary: Seeking a Sr. Machinist for 2nd shift responsible for operating and maintaining production machines with a focus on lean initiatives and quality control.
Requirements:
- Two years related machining experience
- Able to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions
- Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics, including trigonometry
- US Citizen only
Preferred Skills:
- Effectively applies lean initiatives
- Interprets reports and uses job-specific software applications
Responsibilities:
- Set up and run production machines
- Perform machine operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming parts
- Make necessary machine adjustments; report improper functioning or cutting action
- Perform operations like tapping, spot-facing, chamfering to close tolerances
- Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures and methods
- Adjust feeds, speeds, depth of cut for quality parts per documentation
- Remove burrs or irregularities from machined parts; inspect parts for conformance using measuring instruments
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, accuracy, reliability; perform statistical process control (SPC)
- Participate in lean initiatives by identifying improvement areas; apply lean concepts in work area
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
