Summary: Seeking a Sr. Machinist for 2nd shift responsible for operating and maintaining production machines with a focus on lean initiatives and quality control.

  • Requirements:

    • Two years related machining experience
    • Able to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions
    • Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics, including trigonometry
    • US Citizen only

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Effectively applies lean initiatives
    • Interprets reports and uses job-specific software applications

  • Responsibilities:

    • Set up and run production machines
    • Perform machine operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming parts
    • Make necessary machine adjustments; report improper functioning or cutting action
    • Perform operations like tapping, spot-facing, chamfering to close tolerances
    • Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures and methods
    • Adjust feeds, speeds, depth of cut for quality parts per documentation
    • Remove burrs or irregularities from machined parts; inspect parts for conformance using measuring instruments
    • Maintain equipment cleanliness, accuracy, reliability; perform statistical process control (SPC)
    • Participate in lean initiatives by identifying improvement areas; apply lean concepts in work area


Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
