Buyer Planner
Manages procurement activities to support production schedules through strategic purchasing, MRP analysis, and supplier coordination in a manufacturing environment.
Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree in a Business-related field

Minimum 5 years of buying/sourcing experience in a manufacturing setting

Experience with international purchasing preferred

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Experience with machining and fabrication procurement
-
Hands-on experience with MRP or ERP systems, including MRP analysis and production control/planning

APICS or Supply Chain Management certification preferred
Preferred Skills:
-
Familiarity with purchase order placement processes based on daily MRP requirements

Ability to ensure on-time delivery of materials and parts
-
Experience with non-conforming purchase part disposition and returns

Skilled in expediting orders and coordinating with vendors

Ability to support cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, and Production
Job Responsibilities:

Perform daily review of MRP requirements to generate and place purchase orders

Monitor open orders and ensure timely delivery to meet production and shipping schedules
-
Collaborate with internal departments to support ongoing manufacturing and planning needs
-
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate as necessary for materials and components
-
Coordinate the return, replacement, or disposal of non-conforming parts
-
Expedite critical orders and resolve supply chain disruptions proactively
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
