Controls Engineer

Controls Engineer responsible for designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems and HMIs for industrial process equipment.

Job Requirements

• 4+ years of PLC programming and troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley platforms (PLC/HMI/Structured Text).

• Minimum 2 years of Ignition experience (mandatory).

• 5+ years of electrical design experience using AutoCAD.

• Experience programming control systems in ladder logic, function block, and structured text formats.

• Experience designing and developing control schemes for new and existing process equipment.

• Experience designing Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens using WonderWare InTouch and/or Ignition.

• Experience interfacing and troubleshooting communication systems between PLCs, HMIs, and field devices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with industrial networking and fieldbus protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).

• Experience with control system commissioning and startup in a plant or process environment.

• Experience creating and maintaining electrical schematics and panel layouts in AutoCAD.

• Familiarity with safety PLCs and machine/functional safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Program control systems in ladder logic, function block, and structured text for Allen Bradley PLCs.

• Design and develop control schemes for new and existing process equipment, including I/O definition and control architecture.

• Design HMI screens and control interfaces using WonderWare InTouch and/or Ignition.

• Develop electrical design packages, including schematics and panel drawings, using AutoCAD.

• Configure and troubleshoot communication interfaces between PLCs, HMIs, and associated equipment.

• Support testing, debugging, and optimizing control systems prior to and during commissioning.

Pay Details: $33.00 to $45.00 per hour
