Sheet Metal Fabricator
Summary: Seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator with expertise in operating and programming turret press and press brake machines.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 5 years experience with turret press and press brake setup, operation, and programming
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
General knowledge of sheet metal fabricating and assembly practices
Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams
Familiarity with tools, gauges, equipment, and various instruments used in fabrication
Preferred Skills:
- Related technical Associates degree
Job Responsibilities:
Program press brake and assign proper tooling for jobs
Operate press brake to form parts and assemblies according to specifications
Load tooling into turret; inspect and adjust punch length and die height
Detect misalignment or malfunction during operation; make necessary adjustments
Fabricate and modify sheet metal components to meet design specifications
Collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturing processes for new/modified parts
Inspect work pieces for conformance using gauges or templates; correct errors as needed
Perform secondary operations such as deburring, grinding, shearing, cutting material, operating band saws
Recommend improvements for production methods, equipment performance, product quality
Report safety/equipment/tooling/quality issues immediately to supervisor/lead/manager
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Wear protective attire including safety eyeglasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves
Work independently on assigned tasks
Train and guide less experienced employees
Pay Details: $20.00 to $27.00 per hour
