Controls Engineer

Responsible for developing, programming, and maintaining PLC and HMI systems in a manufacturing environment, with preference for dairy or food production experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Programmer or Controls Engineer in manufacturing

• Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)

• HMI design experience (AVEVA, FactoryTalk View)

• Familiarity with process databases (Historian)

• Strong understanding of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet)

• Ability to read and modify P&IDs

• Experience in PID loop tuning and VFD setup (Allen-Bradley PowerFlex, Danfoss, Eaton)

• Expertise in digital and analog measurements and discrete sensors

Preferred Skills

• Background in dairy or food production manufacturing environments

• Experience integrating automation systems with plant-level databases

• Knowledge of process optimization techniques

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems

• Design, test, and maintain process control solutions to improve efficiency and reliability

• Integrate controls with industrial networks and process databases

• Perform PID loop tuning and configure VFDs

• Ensure accurate operation of digital and analog measurement devices and sensors

• Review and update P&IDs to support process changes

• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams on automation projects

Pay: 42-57

Pay Details: $42.00 to $57.00 per hour
