Assembler responsible for assembly, teardown, and repair of complex high-voltage and RF medical equipment in a production and repair environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 5+ years of related mechanical/electromechanical assembly or repair experience

  • Ability to assemble, build, and teardown complex electro-mechanical systems and subassemblies

  • Ability to read and interpret operational method sheets (OMS), blueprints, wire lists, diagrams, and engineering drawings

  • Experience working with high-voltage power supplies, high-power RF modules, combiners, high-voltage capacitor banks, gradient amplifiers, cable/wiring harnesses, and piping manifolds for liquid-cooled assemblies

  • Proficient use of common hand tools, pressure gauges, and basic measurement tools

  • Ability to perform drilling, reaming, burnishing, and tapping operations

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of SAP and/or Agile product data management systems

  • Experience performing resistance checks, curve tracing for FETs, and pressure testing

  • Experience working with components such as transformers, IGBTs, high-power FETs, heatsinks, fans, hoses, and PCBs

  • Familiarity with basic soldering techniques and supporting electronic repair activities

  • Experience using electronic cranes and lifting equipment for teardown and assembly handling

Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble and teardown top-level and sub-level medical equipment assemblies following OMS, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and established standards

  • Install and route wiring harnesses, manifolds, and non-solder components including transformers, IGBTs, FETs, heatsinks, fans, hoses, and PCBs

  • Perform functional and diagnostic checks including resistance checks, curve tracing, and pressure testing as required

  • Use electronic cranes and lifting devices for safe handling of large or heavy assemblies during teardown and repair

  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and rework parts or assemblies to incorporate engineering change orders

  • Support technicians and the electronic repair team by providing assemblies for soldering repairs and updates to correct revision levels

  • Perform basic machining operations such as drilling, reaming, burnishing, and tapping

  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area including benches, tools, and equipment

  • Follow ESD-safe practices and properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with OSHA, FDA, and CDC guidelines

  • Adhere to all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory procedures related to medical equipment production and repair

  • Provide basic training to new hires or team members on assembly, teardown, and equipment handling procedures



Pay Details: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour
