Sr. Accountant
Summary: Seeking a Senior Accountant to manage month-end close processes, enhance financial operations through technology, and support departmental transitions.
Requirements:
- College diploma (Accounting/Finance degree preferred but not required)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting or finance
- Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel (pivots and lookups)
- Strong technical accounting skills and GAAP knowledge
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and employee information
- In office work required for initial two months followed by hybrid work arrangement
Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle month-end close process including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze balance sheet accounts; assist with year-end audit
- Monitor cash balances and perform cash flow forecasting
- Streamline finance and accounting operations through technology; train staff on software utilization
- Resolve issues with AP, purchasing, AR, and sales departments
- Document workflows from retiring employees for continuity during transitions
- Collaborate on improving software projects related to payroll, sales tax, expense management, lease accounting, and business unit reporting
Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
