CNC Horizontal Machinist (2nd shift)
Summary: Seeking a CNC Horizontal Machinist for 2nd shift operations, responsible for setup, operation, and minor program edits on machining centers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years experience with CNC horizontal machining centers
- Ability to set up, operate, and make minor program edits
- Familiarity with machining plastics and aluminum materials
- Basic computer literacy for documentation and data entry
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and GD&T
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools
Preferred Skills:
- CNC machining certificate or formal apprenticeship completion
- 5+ years experience in custom manufacturing environment
- Experience with large, complex part machining
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC horizontal machining centers per drawings and instructions
- Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, workpieces
- Adjust machine settings to optimize processes and maintain quality
- Perform inspections using precision instruments
- Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
