Seeking Electrical Engineer (PE) to lead building-systems design and delivery for healthcare and commercial projects, driving quality, coordination, and schedule/budget adherence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state; eligibility for Michigan licensure by comity or current Michigan PE

  • NCEES record/certification

  • 10+ years designing engineered electrical building systems (power, lighting, distribution, grounding)

  • Proficient knowledge of NEC and NFPA 170

  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM 360

  • Ability to review drawings and specifications across all design phases

  • Experience assembling, coordinating, and monitoring engineering project schedules

Preferred Skills

  • Licensed to practice Engineering in Michigan

  • Healthcare planning and design experience, including construction documents, construction administration, and project cost control

  • Experience developing proposals defining scope and labor budgets

  • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and healthcare facility standards (e.g., NFPA 99/101, FGI Guidelines)

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical building-systems design from concept through construction documents and closeout

  • Maintain and improve consistency, quality, and accuracy of engineering design and production

  • Review and stamp drawings and specifications; ensure NEC and applicable codes compliance

  • Assemble, coordinate, and monitor project schedules, deliverables, and interdisciplinary BIM coordination

  • Prepare technical scopes and labor estimates for proposals

  • Provide construction administration support: RFIs, submittals, site observations, punch lists

  • Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, and low-voltage disciplines to integrate complete designs



Pay Details: $56.00 to $75.00 per hour
