Leads embedded software development for surgical robotics platforms with expertise in C++, RTOS, and object-oriented programming.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 7 years of embedded software development experience

  • Proficiency in C++ and Python

  • Hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded devices

  • Strong understanding of Linux, QNX, or other RTOS

  • Experience in regulated industries (medical device experience strongly preferred)

  • Proven track record of stable and consistent work history

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in software architecture and design

  • Background in surgical equipment, robotics, or medical devices

  • Experience leading engineering teams

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe software development practices

  • Ability to act as scrum master or product owner as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and validate embedded software for surgical robotic platforms

  • Participate in requirements definition, design reviews, coding, unit testing, and system verification/validation

  • Troubleshoot and resolve embedded device issues in real time

  • Contribute to software architecture and design improvements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and electrical engineers

  • Participate in scrum activities and assume scrum master or product owner responsibilities when required

  • Support continuous improvement of software development processes



Pay Details: $54.00 to $72.00 per hour
