Seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead technical management and coordination of engineering resources for AC and DC power conversion and protection products from concept through production.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering/Science and 6+ years of related experience, Masters degree with 4+ years of related experience, or 10+ years of technical and project management experience in lieu of a degree

  • Broad-based technical knowledge across engineering disciplines with emphasis in Electrical Power Conversion and Systems Engineering preferred

  • Strong experience in full hardware/software product life cycle, including system architecture, design, implementation, integration, and verification/validation

  • Understanding of lean product development, Design for X (DFX), Six Sigma, product life cycle management, and systems engineering principles

  • Experience with military/defense contracting environment

  • Proven leadership of integrated product teams

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and customer presentations

Preferred Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Project

  • Proficient in CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks

  • Experience with PLM tools (Agile) and MRP systems (Cost Point)

  • PMP Certification

  • Specific experience in electrical power distribution, generation, or conversion equipment development

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage technical aspects of projects to meet customer requirements, budget, and schedule constraints

  • Direct cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring compliance with technical requirements for AC/DC power conversion and protection products

  • Drive creation, review, and submittal of project artifacts including plans, procedures, reports, design documents, and technical manuals

  • Own and manage all major technical reviews (ConDR, SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, SVR, peer reviews)

  • Define system architecture and associated technical requirements

  • Lead development of technical plans including hardware/software development and integration test plans

  • Oversee unit, integration, verification, and qualification testing, including defect tracking and resolution

  • Lead proposal processes for technical WBS definition, cost/risk estimation, and technical scheduling

  • Coordinate with functional management to secure engineering resources and manage engineering budgets

  • Support customer upgrade requests, change management for released products, and transition to operations and field support



Pay Details: $50.00 to $58.00 per hour
