Designs and implements complex FPGA and/or ASIC systems for high-throughput communication products supporting national security initiatives.


Job Requirements:

  • Active SECRET clearance required

  • US Citizenship required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with VHDL and FPGA design

  • Hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGA design using Vivado

  • Proven history of implementing complex algorithms for ASIC/FPGAs

  • Experience in architecture, design, verification, synthesis, and static timing analysis (STA)

  • Proficient in EDA tools including Synopsys DC/Primetime/Synplify, Xilinx/Intel/Microchip tools

  • Strong analytical and debugging capabilities

  • Familiarity with developing on ARM SoC platforms (e.g., Xilinx MPSoC)


Preferred Skills:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

  • Experience with high-speed protocols: NVMe, PCIe/SRIOV, 10G400G Ethernet, TCP/IP

  • Experience with embedded C++ (OOP) software development and System Verilog Assertions (SVA)

  • Prior work using UVM frameworks for simulation and verification

  • Familiarity with High Level Synthesis (HLS) using Vivado and Mentor Catapult

  • Use of Mentor EDA CDC/Lint/AC/RDC tools

  • Experience working directly with Ethernet protocol (not just IP instantiation)

  • Familiarity with SOC evaluation boards running Linux for system-level testing


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectures and implement complex VHDL-based cryptographic and communication systems

  • Conduct verification and validation through UVM simulation and software integration testing

  • Integrate IP blocks for ARM SoC FPGAs and/or ASIC targets

  • Write and debug C++ software for end-to-end system validation on Linux-based evaluation platforms

  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to deliver production-ready solutions

  • Ensure design robustness through static timing analysis, CDC checks, and formal verification techniques

  • Support internal product delivery cycles with attention to performance, quality, and reliability standards



Pay Details: $80.00 to $120.00 per hour
