Vessel Welders

Experienced vessel fitter responsible for layout, fabrication, and welding of water towers and storage tanks using blueprints and structural drawings.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of vessel fitting experience

• Proficient in flux core welding (structural and tack welds)

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Skilled in layout and fit-up of vessels and shell plates

• Proficient in reading tape measures and using cutting torches

• Experience in fitting pressure vessels

Preferred Skills:

• 10 years of vessel fitting or related experience

• Advanced blueprint and drawing interpretation skills

• Experience using Peddinghaus (peddimaster) machines for structural steel

• Prior work fitting storage tanks or water towers

• Forklift and overhead crane operation

• Experience with band saws

• Familiarity with fabrication for large industrial structures

Job Responsibilities:

• Lay out and fabricate vessels and shell plates

• Construct water towers and storage tanks using provided designs

• Weld using flux core methods for structural strength

• Perform independent layout and fit-up tasks

• Cut and prepare materials using torch and other tools

• Ensure structural integrity and alignment based on blueprint specifications

Pay Details: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
