Electrical Design Engineer
Lead electrical design and technical evaluations for power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems within institutional, commercial, and industrial facilities.
Job Responsibilities

Serve as lead electrical engineer on multi-discipline project teams

Design and produce electrical construction drawings and specifications

Perform technical evaluations and prepare design computations for electrical and control systems
-
Direct electrical engineering tasks to meet project budgets and schedules
-
Coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure efficient project completion

Prepare technical reports and correspondence
-
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal design standards and regulations
-
Support business development for electrical engineering services
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
-
Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or ability to obtain via reciprocity

8+ years of relevant experience
-
Proficiency with NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards

Experience in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems

Experience with CAD and/or Revit for electrical drawing sets

Understanding of MEP systems for buildings
Preferred Skills

Interdisciplinary systems engineering approach

Familiarity with financial metrics and data analytics for solution development

Business development experience within electrical engineering services
Pay Details: $49.00 to $66.00 per hour
