Backfill SolidWorks Designer

Seeking a Designer to support product development by creating novel device concepts, custom fixturing, and specialized processing equipment using advanced CAD methodologies.

Job Requirements:

• Experience with CAD software and engineering design tools

• Knowledge of mechanical systems design and analysis (static and dynamic)

• Ability to apply mathematical formulas and engineering principles to develop and refine concepts

• Familiarity with manufacturing practices and technical documentation standards

• Understanding of engineering drawings, tolerancing, and material specifications

Preferred Skills:

• Background in product development involving fixturing/tooling and equipment design

• Experience studying and improving equipment performance and reliability

• Ability to identify and resolve design errors or omissions efficiently

• Proficiency in producing layout, detail, and final manufacturing drawings

• Knowledge of tooling applications and vendor upgrade recommendations

Job Responsibilities:

• Support product development by designing novel device concepts, fixtures, and processing equipment

• Perform static and dynamic system analysis for tooling and mechanical assemblies

• Evaluate and incorporate manufacturer upgrades and application guidance into designs

• Analyze system performance and identify opportunities for improvement

• Develop solutions for design issues using engineering judgment and CAD-based modeling

• Create and revise sketches, layouts, and detailed drawings for prototyping and production

• Apply CAD software to solve technical problems and optimize engineering processes

Pay Details: $35.00 to $44.00 per hour
