Project Controls Engineers (Gas Turbines)

Design, develop, and implement turbine control systems, including hardware, software, and field services, for power generation and industrial applications.

Job Requirements:

• 3–5 years of turbine controls experience in design, manufacturing, testing, installation, or commissioning

• Minimum 3 years in automation with hands-on software development and implementation

• Proficiency with AutoCAD for generating system diagrams and electrical drawings

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control logic diagrams, P&IDs, and cause & effect diagrams

• Experience conducting on-site services including installation supervision, system testing, startup, and training

• Proficient in electrical testing using digital multimeters, calibrators, and function generators

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with turbine platforms from GE, Westinghouse, Siemens, or Rolls Royce

• Familiarity with Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation, Siemens, or GE/Emerson controllers

• Proficiency with HMI platforms such as RSView Studio, FactoryTalk View, Cimplicity, Wonderware, or Archestra

• Background in specifying and selecting electrical/control components and low voltage distribution (480 VAC/120 VAC)

• Ability to analyze and integrate data from electrical and mechanical systems and manufacturer datasheets

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and ensure project designs meet customer specifications and purchase order requirements

• Create and approve project drawings including wiring diagrams, system schematics, and network architectures

• Generate project Bill of Materials and all associated procurement documentation

• Develop control system software using logic diagrams, control narratives, OEM documentation, and P&IDs

• Troubleshoot and revise existing controller programs based on performance data and customer feedback

• Provide field services including control system startup, testing, and customer support

• Deliver projects in alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and technical requirements

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
