Sr. Manager - Production Engineering
Leads and optimizes Manufacturing and Test Engineering operations, driving strategic development, process improvement, and cross-functional integration.
Job Responsibilities

Lead strategic development and troubleshooting of processes across multiple product lines

Guide selection of materials, equipment, and tools for optimal production

Develop 1, 3, and 5-year strategic plans for site and equipment growth

Write and manage CAPEX proposals for critical growth equipment
-
Direct Manufacturing Engineering team to integrate design into production
-
Drive process improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies
-
Optimize production layout, workflow, and schedules
-
Manage Development Engineering team to enhance specific manufacturing processes
-
Coordinate with R&D for smooth product transition from concept to production
-
Maintain and implement process controls
-
Troubleshoot manufacturing floor failures
-
Write proposals for military programs and align with strategic objectives
-
Mature manufacturing sites through best practices and process enhancements
-
Coach engineering teams to improve operational management
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering solutions
-
Lead and organize Development, Manufacturing, and Tool Engineering teams
-
Conduct research and apply industry innovations and best practices
-
Provide technical mentorship and guidance across engineering functions
-
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
-
Identify and manage risks to ensure uninterrupted operations
-
Oversee budgetary and scheduling alignment of engineering projects
-
Manage department performance and make personnel decisions
-
Develop department procedures and lead major engineering projects
-
Prepare repair cost/resource/time proposals and monitor project performance
-
Evaluate and recommend investments in engineering technology
-
Achieve department objectives and support employee development
Job Requirements
-
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Chemical, Materials Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering

Demonstrated strategic thinking and implementation capability
-
Strong knowledge of materials properties, formulations, and production processes
Preferred Skills
-
Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
-
Experience in proposal writing for military or government programs
-
Familiarity with CAPEX planning and budget management
-
Experience in coaching and developing engineering teams
Pay Details: $185,000.00 to $195,000.00 per year
