Mechanical Engineer

Oversee construction project documentation, coordination, procurement, cost control, and project administration from jobsite mobilization to closeout.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience

• Minimum of 2 years prior experience as a Project Engineer in construction

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, NavisWorks, and Bluebeam

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, contracts, proposals, and estimates

• Intermediate understanding of accounting principles

Preferred Skills:

• Technical experience reviewing submittals and installation drawings

• Experience with dimension checking and material compliance

• Familiarity with mechanical and plumbing systems

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain jobsite documentation

• Coordinate project set-up, site mobilization, administration, and closeout

• Research, prepare, and present project proposals

• Prepare equipment requisitions and coordinate with purchasing and vendors

• Develop cost control measures and expense reports

• Meet departmental performance benchmarks

• Track and schedule project progress

• Review design drawings, specifications, and write change orders

• Draft subcontracts, purchase orders, correspondence, RFIs, and job summaries

• Support RFP and procurement processes

• Assist with monthly financial reporting and billing substantiation

• Prepare submittals, O&M manuals, air balance logs, and as-built documentation

• Create site-specific work plans and billing breakdowns

Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
