Responsible for performing in-process and final inspections using Nondestructive Examination (NDE) techniques and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or related science field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) required
  • Experience with Boroscoping techniques and Level II certification in Penetrant Testing (PT), Visual Testing (VT), and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of NDE experience
  • Ability to meet Level II certification requirements through testing and passing specific, general, and practical exams
  • Experience with gauging, drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; SAP knowledge preferred
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Availability for overtime, weekends, and temporary shift changes for training or production needs

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of NDT techniques on large generator components
  • Evaluate critical-to-quality (CTQ) dimensional measurements and parameters using standard and special gauging
  • Conduct NDE inspections according to specifications or drawing requirements
  • Document findings and results through electronic systems
  • Communicate inspection results and concerns both verbally and in writing
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Instructions independently or with engineering teams
  • Train QA Technicians on VT, UT, PT, and PAUT requirements for certification
  • Maintain NDT support equipment, perform calibration of UT equipment, and manage supplies
  • Identify and implement improvements to the working environment and participate in preventive and corrective actions through root cause analysis


Pay Details: $21.00 to $28.00 per hour
