Structural/Stress Analyst
Perform stress and loads analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures, equipment racks, and interior components using classical analysis methods and finite element techniques, while providing design support and stress analysis for modifications.
Job Requirements
- Minimum B.S. in Aerospace, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent field of study
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft structural analysis
- Experience with modification of transport category and general aviation aircraft is beneficial
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct stress analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures
- Provide stress support for new designs and modifications
- Perform stress analysis for aircraft structural repairs
- Prepare stress analysis reports for aircraft certification
- Support Liaison Engineering with stress evaluations
Required Skills
- Classical stress analysis methods
- Finite element analysis using MSC/NASTRAN and PATRAN
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Analysis of aircraft structural repairs
- Preparation of stress reports for certification
Preferred Skills
- Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis
- Knowledge of commercial and military aircraft certification requirements
Pay Details: $80.00 to $100.00 per hour
