Construction Project Manager
Field Construction Representative – Oversees contractor safety, compliance, and documentation for industrial construction projects.
Job Requirements:

Experience in field construction supervision, field service, or site representation on industrial projects.

Knowledge of construction safety practices, site-specific safety requirements, and emergency procedures.

Familiarity with permitting procedures for construction and maintenance activities (e.g., hot work, confined space, lockout/tagout).

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

Experience working with multiple contractors and craft disciplines on active plant or industrial sites.
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience with cost-plus contracts, time sheets, and contractor invoice review.

Background in industrial environments involving process hazards (chemical, mechanical, or similar).

Experience leading or participating in construction progress meetings.

Experience with documentation control for project records, field changes, and test documentation.
Job Responsibilities:
-
Monitor contractor safety performance and adherence to site safety policies.
-
Ensure contractors are aware of site-specific safety requirements, emergency procedures, and relevant process hazards.

Verify that proper permitting procedures are followed for all contractor tasks.

Confirm that qualified individuals are utilized by contractors (e.g., certified welders, equipment operators).

Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.

Monitor compliance with contract terms during construction activities.

Ensure required documentation for inspections, tests, and verifications is completed and maintained.

Maintain a daily record of contractor activities and progress.

Provide or request technical assistance for contractors regarding fabrication or installation of equipment, wiring, piping, and related systems.

Promote use of industry best practices in the construction process.

Review contractor cost-plus time sheets and invoices for accuracy.

Initiate and document field change requests as needed.

Conduct weekly construction meetings and coordinate activities among contractors and craft disciplines.

Maintain pertinent project documentation, correspondence, and an accurate, up-to-date set of project drawings.

Maintain communication with key plant personnel to minimize construction impacts on plant productivity and personnel safety.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
