Manufacturing Engineer
Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement assembly lines, optimize workstations, and support production with lean and automation principles.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field (verifiable)

5+ years of relevant engineering experience
-
Background in mobile equipment (automotive, heavy equipment, etc. — aerospace not considered)

Experience in assembly line design and implementation
-
Strong knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
-
Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD
-
Familiarity with PLC, automation, machining, welding, assembly techniques, time studies, and torque tooling
-
Knowledge of JIT, CSM, and DFT techniques
-
Experience with Capex creation and budgetary planning

Project planning experience for line design and implementation
-
Core Tree experience for determining Build IDs
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience integrating tooling, equipment, and utilities into new or existing production lines
-
Background in ergonomic design and work cell layout optimization
Responsibilities:
-
Calculate Demand at Capacity and determine number of stations required for production lines
-
Review OMS and work content to optimize and potentially combine workstations
-
Develop and manipulate AutoCAD layouts to build assembly lines with proper ergonomics and spacing
-
Identify and specify new utilities, tooling, and equipment needed to support production
-
Create and manage Capex proposals for line design and upgrades
-
Apply Lean manufacturing and line balancing techniques to improve efficiency
-
Conduct time studies to validate workload and optimize processes
-
Support project planning and execution for assembly line implementation
-
Ensure production lines meet ergonomic standards, safety requirements, and efficiency goals

Utilize Core Tree for determining Build IDs in alignment with production requirements
Pay Details: $38.00 to $51.00 per hour
