Mechanical Designer
Design and develop heavy and mobile equipment systems with a focus on structural, welded, and mechanical assemblies.
Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hands-on mechanical systems design experience

Strong background in mechanical design for heavy and mobile equipment (e.g., cranes, scissor lifts, manlifts, combines, tractors, log loaders, excavators, skid steers, bulldozers, trenchers, graders)

Ability to create and interpret assembly layouts

Proficiency with weldments and heavy structural equipment design

Knowledge and application of GD&T principles

Ability to work independently in an office/design center environment
Preferred Skills

Experience designing powertrain and engine installation systems

Familiarity with hydraulic system design

Familiarity with electrical system design
Responsibilities
-
Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies for heavy/mobile equipment

Create and review detailed assembly layouts, drawings, and models
-
Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and compliance
-
Collaborate with teams to integrate welded and structural components into equipment designs

Provide engineering support for prototype builds, testing, and production transitions

Identify design improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
