Tooling Engineer
Summary: Seeking a Tooling Engineer with expertise in high volume progressive die stamping tools for managing and troubleshooting over 1,000 client tools.
Requirements:
- Experience with high volume progressive die stamping tools within the past 3-5 years
- Proficiency in inspecting finished dies for accuracy and functionality
- Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues for precision and quality
- Skilled in repairing and overhauling inoperable tools
- Experience obtaining quotes for new dies and repairs
- Capability to order tooling and components for new builds
- Supervisory skills for initial tool use in production
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, CAD software, operating basic machine tools, mechanical and optical measuring devices
Responsibilities:
- Manage client's tool inventory exceeding 1,000 units
- Troubleshoot issues with tools when they malfunction
- Replace old or repaired tools as needed
- Document new processes and reverse engineer old parts
- Utilize vision systems, CAD drawings, review blueprints
- Assist with first article inspection (FAI) to ensure new parts are correct
Pay Details: $33.00 to $45.00 per hour
