Seeking an experienced engineer with a heavy equipment background to support both sustainment and new product development (NPD) initiatives across crane systems, including diesel, hybrid, and fully electric platforms.

Job Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience in heavy equipment or related field

  • 5+ years of experience with cranes or comparable machinery (e.g., CNH, CAT, John Deere)

  • Proven background in diesel hydraulic and diesel electric systems

  • Familiarity with hybrid and fully electric battery systems

  • Understanding of infrastructure, inland ports, ports, and rough terrain applications

  • Experience in sustainment engineering for operational platforms

  • Exposure to NPD environments and development cycles

  • Ability to design and support structural, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and power systems

  • Experience with equipment controls and software integration

Preferred Skills:

  • Background working for crane manufacturers or heavy equipment service providers (e.g., Simmers Crane, Crane and Equipment Services)

  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in heavy equipment manufacturing

  • Proficiency in CAD tools and engineering documentation

  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support sustainment of existing heavy equipment across various operating environments

  • Participate in NPD efforts for next-generation crane platforms including diesel electric and fully electric systems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets operational and environmental requirements

  • Evaluate and improve system performance, reliability, and safety

  • Develop and review technical specifications, schematics, and engineering reports

  • Interface with production and service teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful field implementation



Pay Details: $115,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
