Manufacturing Tooling Engineer
Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for the design, sourcing, and run-off of production and development tooling, as well as the creation and implementation of capable manufacturing processes to meet quality, throughput, and cost targets.
Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or Industrial Technology

03 years of experience in an OEM manufacturing environment

Proficiency in CAD with emphasis on assembly modeling and sheet metal; experience with Creo or Draftsight a plus
-
Strong understanding of 2D drawing fundamentals, including tolerance stacks and dimensioning schemes

Ability to lead sourcing, build, and run-off of tooling with internal and external suppliers

Familiarity with TS-16949 standards, including process capability studies, control plans, PPAP, and SPC
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience with heat exchanger products and processes
-
Familiarity with FMEA, Design of Experiments, and statistical quality tools
-
Experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership
-
Ability to analyze production costs and implement cost-saving measures
-
Experience creating manufacturing documentation such as BOMs, labor routings, work instructions, and process flows

Knowledge of packaging design, material flow planning, and plant layout development
Job Responsibilities:

Design and develop tooling such as fixtures, assembly tooling, brake press tooling, laser tooling, and stamping tooling

Lead sourcing and coordination of tooling builds with internal machine shops and external suppliers

Create and improve production processes to achieve quality, throughput, and cost objectives

Conduct and lead Process FMEAs; participate in Design FMEAs
-
Develop and maintain manufacturing standards and reconcile production documentation
-
Perform time/motion studies and production cost analyses to drive improvements
-
Support packaging, material flow, and layout design for new product launches
-
Remain current with new manufacturing technologies and techniques
-
Train production associates and coordinate engineering changes across departments
-
Conduct supplier visits domestically and internationally
-
Utilize project management techniques to ensure successful project execution
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
