Responsible for performing inspections, troubleshooting press setups, and supporting quality assurance processes in a manufacturing environment.


Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent education, experience, and training

  • Three (3) years of technical training and quality auditing/inspection experience preferred

  • Manufacturing experience preferred

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to interpret and write from technical or functional specifications


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with tire building and curing processes

  • Understanding of scrap classification and repair methods

  • Knowledge of DOT test wheel operations


Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, cut, and enter cured scrap into records

  • Classify and repair defective tires

  • Perform “first piece” checks during mold start-ups

  • Troubleshoot press setups for shaping and closing cycle accuracy

  • Double-check and provide training to press loaders

  • Analyze scrap causes using press chart data and root cause analysis

  • Write and distribute temporary specifications as needed

  • Create serial tins for unscheduled mold changes

  • Monitor overnight DOT testing on the test wheel

  • Communicate findings and quality issues to technical and production teams

  • Track serial changes and complete weekly press shaping checks

  • Execute additional duties as assigned within the department



Pay Details: $38,000.00 to $45,000.00 per year
