Electrical Controls Engineer responsible for designing, programming, testing, and supporting electrical and control systems for industrial thermal and fluid-handling equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of electrical engineering or controls engineering experience.
  • Experience designing industrial electrical control systems.
  • Experience developing electrical schematics and panel layouts.
  • Experience programming PLCs and HMIs.
  • Knowledge of NEC, UL, CSA, CE, and related electrical standards.
  • Experience with power distribution and motor control systems.
  • Experience with electrical safety circuits, sensors, and control devices.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with industrial process equipment.
  • Experience with pumps, chillers, heating systems, or fluid-handling equipment.
  • Experience with SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Experience with DraftSight.
  • Experience with VFDs.
  • Experience with industrial sensors and electromechanical controls.
  • Experience with safety circuit design.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing and product development environments.
  • Experience with equipment validation and testing procedures.
  • Experience creating and maintaining electrical BOMs and engineering documentation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, motor controls, safety circuits, sensors, and control devices.
  • Develop electrical schematics and panel layouts.
  • Program PLCs, HMIs, and related control systems for standard and custom equipment.
  • Research and implement control technologies including VFDs, HMIs, sensors, and electromechanical devices.
  • Develop equipment testing and validation procedures.
  • Support electrical and controls testing during equipment development and manufacturing.
  • Create and maintain electrical engineering standards and technical documentation.
  • Develop and maintain bills of materials.
  • Provide technical engineering support for manufacturing, service, purchasing, and sales functions.
  • Support customer and vendor technical requirements.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues.
  • Support product improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Implement electrical and control system changes based on testing, field performance, and product requirements.


Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
