Quality Management System Manager responsible for AS9100 and ISO 9001 QMS ownership, audit readiness, corrective action systems, compliance, quality metrics, and quality team leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience with AS9100 or a similar quality management system

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing

  • Experience owning or supporting Quality Management Systems

  • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements

  • Experience with OEM quality requirements

  • Experience with internal audits

  • Experience with certification audits

  • Experience with compliance and audit readiness

  • Experience with corrective action systems

  • Experience with non-conformance systems

  • Experience with root cause analysis

  • Experience monitoring QMS performance metrics

  • Experience managing document control

  • Experience with calibration system compliance

  • Experience supporting quality training, new program onboarding, contract review, and continuous improvement initiatives

Preferred Skills

  • Prior team leadership experience

  • AS9100 Lead Auditor certification

  • Knowledge of FAR requirements

  • Knowledge of DFAR requirements

  • Knowledge of government contract quality requirements

  • Experience leading Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians

  • Experience supporting inspection functions, including CMM, gauging, receiving inspection, and visual inspection

  • Experience overseeing calibration vendors

  • Experience communicating quality risks, trends, and improvements to operations leadership and customers

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the Quality Management System aligned to AS9100, ISO 9001, and OEM requirements

  • Serve as primary authority for certifications, compliance, and audit readiness

  • Support internal, OEM, and third-party registrar audits

  • Drive the internal audit program

  • Convert audit findings into measurable process improvements

  • Oversee corrective action systems

  • Oversee non-conformance systems

  • Ensure corrective actions include root cause, timely closure, and recurrence prevention

  • Monitor QMS performance metrics

  • Analyze quality trends

  • Implement mitigation strategies for QMS risks

  • Lead Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians supporting inspection activities

  • Support inspection processes including CMM, gauging, receiving inspection, and visual inspection

  • Ensure calibration system compliance

  • Oversee calibration vendor performance and documentation accuracy

  • Manage document control processes

  • Ensure procedures and work instructions meet current revision and regulatory requirements

  • Serve as quality liaison with operations leadership and customers

  • Communicate quality risks, trends, and improvements

  • Support quality training

  • Support new program onboarding

  • Support contract review

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

Pay: 80k-115k/year
