Oversees shift operations for molten lead refining and casting, including production scheduling, employee supervision, training, and environmental compliance.

Job Requirements

  • Experience supervising production employees in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting refining, casting, foundry, smelting, metals processing, or similar high-temperature manufacturing operations.
  • Experience scheduling production departments and hourly employees.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of environmental controls applicable to manufacturing operations.
  • Experience coordinating production activities with maintenance, quality, laboratory, and transportation functions.
  • Experience directing shift operations and plant personnel.

Preferred Skills

  • Molten lead processing experience.
  • Lead refining experience.
  • Lead casting experience.
  • Heavy manufacturing or metals processing experience.
  • Experience working in a regulated environmental manufacturing environment.
  • Experience coordinating continuous-process manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise refining and casting operations during assigned shifts.
  • Directly supervise hourly casting and refining employees.
  • Schedule refining and casting production activities.
  • Develop and maintain employee work schedules.
  • Train casting and refining employees on applicable production procedures.
  • Monitor work activities for compliance with established safety requirements.
  • Ensure production activities comply with applicable environmental controls and operating procedures.
  • Coordinate production requirements with Transportation, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, laboratory, and other plant departments.
  • Monitor workflow to support continuous production operations.
  • Direct plant personnel to meet production schedules and operational requirements.
  • Address production interruptions and coordinate required resources to restore operations.
  • Maintain applicable production, staffing, and shift documentation.


Pay Details: $74,000.00 to $78,000.00 per year
