Environmental Manager
Leads environmental health and safety programs for a manufacturing facility, including regulatory compliance, hazardous waste management, permitting, industrial hygiene, and oversight of direct reports.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Health Science, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Associate’s degree with 8–10 years of directly related experience may be considered.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- 3–5 years of industrial EHS experience preferred.
- Experience with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) requirements.
- Experience with federal and state environmental permitting.
- Experience with air permitting, including Title V permits.
- Experience with water-related environmental compliance and permitting.
- Knowledge of OSHA environmental health and safety regulations.
- Experience with industrial hygiene programs.
- Experience with lead-in-air monitoring and OSHA Lead Standard compliance.
- Experience with occupational noise exposure assessments.
- Experience managing hazardous waste compliance activities.
- Experience managing or supervising direct reports.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing EHS programs within a manufacturing plant.
- Experience overseeing environmental compliance calendars and recurring regulatory requirements.
- Experience administering medical monitoring programs related to occupational exposure.
- Experience managing facility housekeeping programs tied to EHS compliance.
- Experience conducting or overseeing regulatory and workplace safety inspections.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead environmental health and safety programs for a manufacturing facility.
- Manage and supervise two direct reports.
- Oversee compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental health and safety regulations.
- Manage the facility Lead Compliance Program.
- Conduct or oversee lead-in-air monitoring and occupational noise exposure assessments.
- Administer medical monitoring requirements associated with the OSHA Lead Standard.
- Conduct weekly hazardous waste inspections.
- Complete and document monthly environmental and safety compliance calendar requirements.
- Manage RCRA hazardous waste compliance activities.
- Support and maintain federal and state air, water, and environmental permits, including Title V requirements.
- Assess plant conditions for compliance with EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct or oversee workplace safety, environmental, and industrial hygiene inspections.
- Develop and implement programs and procedures addressing physical, chemical, ergonomic, and environmental hazards.
- Oversee the facility-wide housekeeping program.
- Maintain EHS records, inspection documentation, monitoring results, and regulatory compliance documentation.
Pay Details: $112,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
