Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of CMM programming experience.
  • Experience programming CMMs using Zeiss Calypso.
  • Experience with CMM planning for verification and validation.
  • Experience with Contra Bridge CMM machines.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment.
  • Aerospace industry experience.
  • Experience working within AS9100 quality systems.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • Experience performing quality inspection.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and other precision inspection gauges.
  • Ability to create and format technical inspection documentation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience developing AS9102 First Article Inspection plans.
  • Experience with High QA Inspection Manager.
  • Experience creating bubbled engineering drawings and inspection check sheets.
  • Experience determining inspection sample sizes.
  • Experience supporting prototype, first-piece, in-process, receiving, sample, and final inspection activities.
  • Experience evaluating suspect or nonconforming material against engineering and quality acceptance criteria.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create inspection plans used by operators and inspectors to verify products against engineering requirements.
  • Develop and maintain CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso.
  • Create inspection plans for prototype, first article, first-piece, in-process, receiving, sample, process-monitoring, and final inspections.
  • Develop bubbled drawings, inspection check sheets, CMM programs, sampling requirements, and inspection instructions.
  • Support AS9102 First Article Inspection activities.
  • Establish verification and validation requirements for CMM inspection processes.
  • Review engineering drawings, models, GD&T requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Perform or support dimensional inspection using CMMs and precision measuring equipment.
  • Evaluate suspect components against applicable engineering and quality criteria to determine acceptance or rejection.
  • Coordinate inspection planning activities with engineering, CNC programming, production planning, manufacturing, and quality functions.
  • Identify and implement inspection and planning changes that improve quality performance and reduce potential defects.


Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
