Design, integrate, qualify, and sustain RF, antenna, radar, and airborne electrical systems for military aircraft platforms.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in RF, antenna, radar, EO/IR, datalink, or C4ISR design and integration
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience using CAD software
  • Experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Experience designing integrated aircraft antenna systems
  • Experience creating wiring interconnect drawings
  • Experience creating wiring schematics
  • Experience creating wiring harness drawings
  • Experience integrating RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, and discrete wiring
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-810 requirements
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-461 requirements
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-464 requirements
  • Knowledge of DO-160 testing and design requirements
  • Experience supporting airborne platform integration
  • Experience supporting fabrication and installation issues

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with C-130 or L-100 aircraft
  • Experience with C-27J aircraft
  • Experience with military or DoD airborne systems
  • Experience with flight RF communications
  • Experience with radar and antenna qualification
  • Experience with navigation, guidance, and control systems
  • Experience with fault-tolerant airborne systems
  • Experience with ground-support electronics hardware and software
  • Experience with aircraft wire harness design and integration
  • Experience reviewing legacy designs and historical test data for improvement opportunities

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and design integrated RF and aircraft antenna systems
  • Support integration of electrical and mechanical antenna assemblies
  • Perform qualification activities for airborne RF systems
  • Support RF communications, radar, EO/IR, datalink, and C4ISR integration
  • Review existing designs and test data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop wiring interconnects, schematics, and harness drawings
  • Integrate RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, and discrete signal interfaces
  • Support aircraft guidance, navigation, control, and fault-tolerance systems
  • Support ground-support electronics hardware and software
  • Perform engineering analysis related to airborne system integration
  • Support fabrication, installation, and production issues
  • Apply MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and DO-160 requirements to design and qualification activities
  • Support sustainment engineering for fielded aircraft systems
  • Develop engineering solutions for aircraft system upgrades and integration efforts


Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
