Develops and optimizes multi-axis CNC programs for aerospace components using Siemens NX, Mastercam, and Vericut.

Job Requirements

  • Senior-level CNC programming experience
  • Advanced experience programming five-axis CNC machines
  • Advanced proficiency with Siemens NX CAM
  • Experience using recent versions of Siemens NX for 3D modeling, assemblies, lathe programming, and drafting
  • Experience using Mastercam
  • Vericut experience
  • Experience programming CNC lathes, milling machines, and mill-turn machines
  • Experience with full simultaneous five-axis machining
  • Experience with 3+2 positional machining
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Metals machining experience
  • Advanced knowledge of machining titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, other steels, and aluminum
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, material requirements, fabrication processes, and design specifications
  • Knowledge of cutting-tool selection, speeds, feeds, and tool-path development

Preferred Skills

  • CNC grinding experience
  • Renishaw part-probing experience
  • Experience with Fanuc controls
  • Experience with Siemens 840D controls
  • Experience designing or modifying machining fixtures, tools, and gauges
  • Experience supporting CNC process improvements

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop CNC programs using Siemens NX, Mastercam, and CAD/CAM systems
  • Create programs for full five-axis, 3+2, lathe, milling, and mill-turn operations
  • Simulate and verify CNC programs using Vericut
  • Prepare process flowcharts, programming documentation, and machine-operation sequences
  • Define complete machining cycles for aerospace components
  • Analyze engineering drawings for materials, fabrication processes, dimensions, and design requirements
  • Select cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and tool paths for machining operations
  • Develop machining strategies for titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, steel, and aluminum components
  • Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, sketches, and manufacturing drawings in Siemens NX
  • Support the design and development of machining tools, gauges, and fixtures
  • Modify existing tooling and fixtures as process improvements are identified
  • Develop or support part-probing routines using Renishaw systems
  • Troubleshoot CNC programs, machining processes, and simulation issues
  • Optimize machining programs for cycle time, tool life, dimensional accuracy, and process stability


Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
